Teaching as many group exercise classes as I do I see too many class participants struggle and strain to stretch out their hamstrings only to round their back- I wanted to create a simple stretching device to help facilitate a great hamstring stretch where class participants are not trying too hard. You know the ones who grab their shoe laces, or wince when they try to keep a flat back and are not breathing, or the legs are rotated outwards at the knee so that they can at least approach reaching their toes!
I think with this tool and the help of Ann Green, we have solved that and have many other great stretches that are faciliated just a bit easier with the Stretch Strap. The lying hamstring stretch is awesome but cross the mid line of the body and “Wow”, you will feel the IT band and the outside of the leg. Now take that leg to the outside and get the adductors. Ahhhhhhh, that feels good.
This product is not anywhere near as innovative as my last product, The Buddy System but it sure has its place and I have noticed an improvement already in some clients and in my own flexibility.
